Kym Butler

Kym Butler is a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New south Wales and a Solicitor and Barrister of the Federal Court. Kym is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Kym started his professional career in 1976. He quickly built an accounting practice which became one of the largest outside Sydney. In 1987 he merged the practice with a leading ‘Big 4’ Accounting firm, becoming a senior tax partner. During that time he worked for local, national and international clients on a range of accounting and taxation matters.

Kym returned to individual practice and once again built a strong business with a loyal following of clients, many of whom have been working with Kym for more than 30 years.

By combining Legal and Accounting Qualifications, Kym is able to offer a unique service in the Newcastle and Hunter region. Kym has continued to develop a team of skilled professionals in the composite practice, Butlers Business and Law, to offer his clients a complete service in both accounting and law.

Today, Butlers Business and Law have a proud track record of assisting clients over a long period of time with cutting edge legal and business advice. The firm has many successful outcomes to its credit, testament to the quality of advice and representation offered to clients, big or small.

Kym has a passion for ocean yacht racing, having competed in 3 Sydney to Hobart events. He was named CYCA Rookie of the Year in 2009.
